Brooke

Balanced Body Pilates Principal Educator

Meet Brooke, a highly experienced Pilates instructor with over 20 years of teaching under her belt. She founded her first Pilates studio in Austin in 2004 and is now the proud owner of our two ALIGN studio locations. Brooke offers private sessions and group Pilates classes at both studios. Brooke specializes in teaching mixed-level classes that are appropriately challenging for everyone. Her classes are known for their flow and challenge, tailored to meet each person’s needs and abilities. She works hard to ensure that the entire ALIGN instructor team follows this same approach. Above all, Brooke understands that your time is valuable and works hard to help you make the most of every minute you spend with us. Whether connecting with the community before class, learning the details during class, or discussing your specific needs after class, her focus is on every person and helping them get the most out of their hour with us. Along with offering private sessions and classes, she is one of the leading Balanced Body Educators in the world who trains and mentors future Pilates instructors throughout the year.

Megan S

Certified Pilates Instructor

Meet Megan, an experienced movement teacher who offers both Pilates classes and private sessions at our ALIGN studio locations. She has over 17 years of experience in teaching movement. Megan obtained her certification as a Pilates Instructor in 2013 through the Kane School in NYC. She loves the accessibility of Pilates, which only requires a mat. She believes that once you understand the fundamental principles of Pilates, you can apply them to different aspects of your daily routine, such as playing tennis or walking your dog. For those new to Pilates, Megan suggests finding a teacher who resonates with you and invests in your progress. The Pilates equipment can help you learn and embody these principles, resulting in a stronger body and mind. Megan’s teaching approach emphasizes mindfulness, curiosity, playfulness, and the quality of movement in every exercise. She encourages students to discover new neural pathways through each “a-ha!” moment. Megan aims to help students feel connected to their bodies beyond just class time, ultimately leading to better overall well-being. This approach tends to create a positive ripple effect in other areas of their lives.
